So I went to a college savings seminar today to find out how much Kristine & I are into it with the cost of college for Jennifer and Jonathan.
One word.........CRAP!
Did you know Reed college costs roughly the same as Harvard?
Anyway, gotta go find 6 more jobs in order to pay for it all.....

Sorry Michael, I can only imagine that it now costs significantly more now than it did for Daniel and Alison. I had originally planned to work until I had to use a walker to get around, but circumstances changed a bit. A lot of people go to community college for two years and then transfer to a university for the rest. Eric Bulson paid his own way, so he and Alison were (are still?) paying off his college loans when they got married. All in all, I feel that piece of paper is worth it.
Love,

sigh, ah college. Seems so far away, yet it is good to know you are looking ahead for the tyksters. Aunt Carla is right about the community colleges, why is it that the kids and the parents are so eager to get them into the "university"? Plus, you've got to hope your not financing the best party year of their lives! Don't stress yet, luckily you've got time to think about it.

Ahhhh,
Community College will be a yes for the first 2 years!!!
We have told both Kids that they WILL go to colleege no EXCEPTIONS!!!
We will also pay for 2 years for each of them and then they will be responsible for the rest....
as far as time.... Yeah not much left, Jennifer is already in 6th Grade.... Time is a Flyin'
Good for you! It's never too early to start planning for college. Community College will save some $ for the first two years and besides the college they graduate from is the one showing on the resume! And I'm glad you are adamant about the kids attending college, no exceptions. That college degree is so important.
After this last go around after my so called -ahem- "sebatical", I found it very difficult to find a good job, Sorry Dad but you know how I HATE to get dirty!
I found that even though I had 10+ years in the telecom. industry some companies would rather have someone with NO experience and a Degree, I feel very fortunate right about now! I myself am looking into getting my degree, my new employer will pay for a portion of my schooling so I figure I should!

Yes you should go to collage Michael! It would be great and I know that you would love it.
Mom
Go for it Michael, I'm glad I did it even though it took me 10 years of night and weekend school. And best of all my employer paid for a good portion of my degree!
